~*~ Kiss the Blaze! ~*~
Yet another
quirky behavior of mine is to take pictures of the blazes on the trail I’m
hiking. Different colors, shapes and sizes…sometimes there are a bunch of
markers on one tree which makes me wonder how more people don’t get confused as
all hell. Here’s a collection of blazes for you to enjoy…or laugh at…or
completely skip over…

Batona Trail, Pine Barrens, NJ
What a pretty
pink little blaze. Awwwww…

Mid
Told ya…blazes in PA belong on
rocks. We have more rocks than trees. Might as well make use of the dang
things.

So I turn and
then what? I see no trail here.

I see about 8 different blazes. This made me dizzy.

I went in circles
around this tree for 9 hours before someone came along to help me. Very helpful
blazes, really.

Wittenburg,
Can you see the
blazes?

Big red dot!

Hmmm…can’t
remember the trail name BUT…

Some damn trail in the Catskills, NY

Coppermine Trail and Kaiser Trail intersection, NJ
Enough to confuse
at least one person.

Van Hoegenberg Trail, ADK’s, NY
It amuses me they put a blaze on a blowdown.
